How to Know the First Release date of an Android App

Sometimes you may want to check the initial release date of your favorite Android app, just to know how long it has been around. For a long time, there was no way we can get the information from Google itself. People rely on third-party services like AppBrain or AppAnnie to get the detail.

Recently play store started displaying 'Released on' date for all apps on their information page. But, it's a mystery why 'Released on' column is not available on any app page on play.google.com. Maybe they forgot to add and will add it in future.

1. Open Play Store app on your Android.
2. If the app is already installed, tap the hamburger menu (top left) and select 'My apps & games' and select 'installed' tab and choose the app.
3. If the app is not installed, search for it and choose the app needed.
4. On the app page, select 'READ MORE', scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll see the initial release date under 'Released on'.
